How Does Coaching Work?

Local and Distance Sessions

Amy offers in-person appointments at her Grants Pass office and also holds tele-coaching sessions online using Zoom, an online virtual meeting room which is secure, private, and easy to use. 

Our first session will be a “Discovery Session” and lasts approximately 1.5 hours. During this session we discuss current opportunities and challenges, and begin to establish your desired outcomes. We may decide to utilize some tools in future sessions to develop your priorities, and to help you gain knowledge about how you learn, grow, and function best. We will prioritize your goals and gain an understanding of the best way forward to meet your needs. 

 

After this initial session, we will agree on a coaching schedule, typically one time per week, 3 to 4 times per month. Regular coaching sessions last 1 hour. During our regular sessions, we will begin setting strategies for meeting the goals you have set. Each time we meet, we will look back at our progress and your accomplishments during the week. Of course, sessions are always fluid; goals and priorities are flexible as circumstances arise and change in your life. 

 

Coaching commitments start at 5 sessions, including the first Discovery Session.

If you are familiar with FaceTime, you will be comfortable using Zoom. It allows us to hold a face-to-face session without being in the same location. It is a free platform commonly used by businesses, tele-coaches, and tele-counselors because it is secure, reliable, and easy to use. It can be used on your desktop computer, your laptop, iPad, or phone. When an appointment is made, Amy will send an invitation to your email. You can use this link to join our "meeting". Amy can provide more details on using Zoom when we make our first appointment.
